A 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with critical injuries after her vehicle crossed the centerline of a roadway and collided with an SUV, Jackson County Office of the Sheriff says.
The crash happened around 10 pm Tuesday, on Baseline Road near McCreery Road in Henrietta Township.
Deputies investigating the crash learned the girl was driving a VW Beetle westbound on Baseline when she lost control of her car. She crossed the center of the roadway and struck a Cadillac Escalade traveling eastbound.
The girl was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health by Jackson Community Ambulance with critical injuries, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
The occupants of the Escalade sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, and deputies are continuing their investigation.
