This years annual winter warm-up marks the 14th year. It's sponsored by Blue Cross of Michigan, and it's designed to get you off the couch.
The eight week couch to 5k program teaches the importance of good form walking and running. The ultimate goal is to help people prevent pulled muscles and other injuries related to running or walking incorrectly.
You can walk inside, or outdoors. So far, nearly 500 people from eight mid-Michigan communities have signed up.
Coaches are available in eight mid-Michigan communities including; Charlotte, Delhi Township, East Lansing, and more.
