The Ingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that killed an 11-year-old girl and sent her older brother and sister to the hospital.

The two-vehicle crash happened on Morrice and Allen Roads in Locke Township in Ingham County just before 8am Friday.

The Sheriff's Office says a vehicle traveling southbound on Morrice Road collided with a vehicle traveling north when it turned left in front of the southbound vehicle and struck a tree.

The southbound vehicle was driven by a 16-year-old old girl. Her passengers were her 14-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister. The 11-year-old died at the scene. The 16-year-old driver was taken by Life Flight to a nearby hospital and the 14-year-old was taken by ambulance - their condition is serious but stable. The three are from the Webberville area.

The driver of the second vehicle is a 21-year-old old man from Stockbridge, who was uninjured.

Morrice Rd was closed for 3.5 hours. The Ingham Regional Crash Investigation Team assisted the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office. The crash remains under investigation.
