One man is dead and another is behind bars after an accident in Ingham County early Monday morning.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash on Old Plank and Tompkins roads in Onondaga Township around 4:30a.m.
Police say the vehicle crashed after leaving the roadway.
A 22-year-old Mason man was killed in the crash. Police say the 22-year-old driver from Onondaga left the scene.
While officers were investigating the accident, the driver returned to the scene and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and arrested for leaving the scene of a deadly crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
