The Big Bang Theory: Season 11
The proudly nerdy sitcom continues to thrive in what will now turn out to be its penultimate season. The usual barrage of laughs ensue as Sheldon and Amy work out their relationship kinks, Raj searches for new love, Leonard and Penny set down the ground rules for their marriage and Howard and Bernadette continue to add to their family. Top-notch writing and scads of pop culture and academia references keep the series lively.
Ocean's 8
Sandra Bullock gamely takes over the reins from George Clooney as the ringleader of the family's penchant for elaborate, high-risk/high-reward heists. With the likes of Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna Helena Bonham Carter in on the action, the twist-filled film makes for a fascinating, tense -- and often hilarious -- ride. Superfly
The remake of the 1972 blaxploitation classic stars Trevor Jackson as a would-be drug kingpin who is looking to pull off one last big job before retiring from a life of crime. Corrupt cops, on-edge rivals and romantic flings complicate matters, adding fuel to the dramatic fire. Extras include a filmmaker scene breakdown, a Future music video, a making-of segment on the video, and background featurettes.
