CATA has been leading the effort for years to transform the Michigan Avenue-Grand River Avenue corridor.
The city of Lansing is kicking off a week-long effort Monday to give people a chance to see what the transformation might look like.
Starting at noon, Mayor Andy Schor and Nathan Triplett, the Board Chair of CATA will hold an Imagine the Avenue event on the patio located on the west side of The Venue at 2010 Michigan Avenue, just off Clemens.
For one week, along one block of Michigan Avenue, the city is inviting people to imagine how a “new” Michigan Avenue could look and function.
Special activities are planned during the week. Guests who experience Imagine the Avenue will be then invited to take a brief online survey to let the city know their thoughts.
