LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Livingston County Commissioner is under fire, being called racist, sexist and ageist after a controversial Facebook post.
Bob Bezotte, the former Livingston County Sheriff and current county commissioner shared a post of two federal lawmakers with the meme that reads, "these two despicable hags need to be thrown out of Congress."
Judy Daubenmier with the Livingston County Democratic Party said there is no place for hateful rhetoric like this to be shared.
She staged a public protest to express anger over the post.
Bezotte said he didn't realize at first that he had shared it, and he does not have any hostility for people of various ages, racial backgrounds and women.
