Proposal 2 on the recent election ballot was passed to amend the Michigan constitution so that electronic data is protected form unreasonable searches and seizures the same way that your home and papers are protected.
Grand Rapids attorney Tom Sinas explains how this will apply now that this protection is in effect for Michigan residents.
