Crime Stoppers of Lenawee needs your help gathering information about a cruelty to animal complaint that lead to the death of a puppy.
Back on July 24 around 2:08 p.m., the Adrian Police Department responded to McFarland Park at 201 E Maumee Street to a report of animal cruelty.
According to police, the animal was found to be a 10-week-old tan and white male Pitbull mix puppy. The Lenawee County Humane Society accepted the puppy as it was severely emaciated with evidence of abuse.
There was indication that the puppy had its muzzle taped shut, as it had fresh and healing wounds around the mouth, Crime Stoppers says. The puppy was so weak he could barely stand or keep his eyes open.
There was no sign of an owner or individual who dropped him off. The puppy, named Brave, passed away within 24 hours of receiving medical care despite the efforts of the staff at the Lenawee County Humane Society.
