A woman from Shelby Township is accused of ripping off a homeowner.
Bloomfield Township police say Stephanie Dzieszkowski attempted to cash a forged check on the victim's account and stole more than $13,000 worth of jewelry from the victim's home while she worked there as a housekeeper.
Most of the jewelry was recovered at area pawn shops, according to police.
The 26-year-old was arrested by Bloomfield Township police officers on July 21 and later arraigned on two felony charges.
