The Genesee County Health Department has confirmed a case of hepatitis A in an employee at Sweetwater Bar and Grill, 3015 E. Grand Blanc Road.
Health officials say the exposure occurred at the restaurant between Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 23.
The restaurant is fully cooperating with the health department.
For patrons who consumed food or drinks from the restaurant during the time of potential exposure, the health department advises that vaccination can prevent the disease if given 14 days after exposure.
Anyone who has a sudden onset of any symptoms should contact their doctor. It is important to get the vaccination as soon as possible, health officials say.
