Police tell us she was found just 1/4 to 1/2 a mile away from the campground she went missing from. We're told she walked up to a porch and the people who were at the house knew she was missing and called police right away.
------------
Police and family have been combing a campsite in Oscoda County for a missing 2-year-old girl from the Monroe Area.
7 Action News has a crew on the way up north to cover the search for Gabriella. We'll have live reports tonight on 7 Action News at 4, 5 and 6.
The search for Gabriella Vitale is concentrated in a wooded area near M-33 on Reber Road in Comins Township. Vitale's family called police around 8:15 a.m. Monday. They told authorities they had been camping for the past week and were preparing to leave this morning when they lost track of the toddler.
Since that time, Oscoda deputies and Michigan State Police troopers, including canine teams and Trooper 3 (MSP helicopter), and DNR Officers have been searching the area. A command post has also been set up.
Correction on her name spelling... Gabriella Roselynn Vitale. Her family is from the MONROE area. Very emotional situation for them...and all who are searching for her.

Gabriella’s pink jacket has been found several hundred yards south east of where she went missing. That means she’ll be in the gray shirt. Thanks to neighbors who are on the lookout...call dispatch with info. If you find clothing, please don’t touch (to keep your scent off).

The MSP Mobile Command Center has arrived and will become the incident command post. Thanks to the Mio McDonalds for all the food and drink they’ve provided to the search teams and staff.

The amount of volunteer Search and Rescue teams who’ve reported to the command center is remarkable. Plans are being made for overnight and first thing in the morning. Keep Gabriella and her family in your thoughts as the search continues. pic.twitter.com/49Mw29Qa8Y

She was last seen wearing a pink zip-up coat and pink bottoms. She is believed to be wearing tennis shoes and to have a gray shirt under the jacket. Searchers have found the pink coat, but there is still no sign of Gabriella.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Oscoda Central Dispatch Center at 989-826- 3214 immediately.
