An 18-year veteran officer at the Hazel Park Police Department has been suspended without pay after embezzlement accusations.
Sean Boucher is accused of embezzling more than $85,000 from the department.
Boucher attempted to resign before the investigation hearing, but was not given that option. He was suspended without pay on September 11.
An internal investigation is underway and the Michigan State Police will conduct a criminal investigation.
