Tickling the ivories is one of Brianna’s favorite things. She hopes her future adoptive parents will be open to her taking piano lessons.

“I am in love with playing the piano and the flute. Those are my favorite instruments to play,” she said.

“I’m very, very funny and a good singer. I really want to be a singer,” Brianna added.

Rihanna is her favorite artist. She also likes Carrie Underwood, pop, and hip hop.

The 16-year-old who’s currently in foster care has been waiting to be adopted since April of 2018.

“I’m supportive. I’m nice,” she said when asked to describe herself.

Her worker said, “She can be very caring, especially toward her sister and her friends.”

Brianna likes math, history, drawing, and reading.

“I read a lot of books this year so far,” she said.

When it comes to her future, she plans to do something in the medical field.

“I want to be a pediatric nurse. I feel like I might could accomplish that because I’m so good in so many subjects. There is a possibility I might graduate early. So, I need to start focusing more on college now,” said Brianna.

“What makes me happiest is, like, being with my friends and just, like, going on vacations. If I had gone on vacation anywhere, it would be like going to the Bahamas,” she explained.

She likes organizing and folding clothes. Right now, she’s volunteering at a foster closet.

She hopes to be adopted out of foster care before she turns 18.

“Adoption means to me, like, starting your life over with somebody who.. can relate to you, [who is] supportive and very caring, and [will] let me accomplish my goals I never had to accomplish with my real family,” Brianna said.
