Ready to smile? Jennifer has you covered!

“If you’re ever down in the dumps, pull out a Jennifer joke book,” she chuckled. The 13-year-old in foster care is hoping to share more laughs once she’s adopted.

The seventh grader has been waiting in Michigan’s foster care system to be adopted since January of 2017.

“I would probably describe myself as funny, smart. I really like school -- reading for sure,” she said.

Jennifer’s favorite subject is social studies, but she has a knack for coding, too. She started teaching herself coding last year. She hopes to become a coder in the future.

“I like to play video games -- especially Minecraft mainly,” she explained.

“Some of the activities I’d like to do with my family -- I really like vacationing and basically getting out and about,” said Jennifer.

“Other things I’d like to enjoy doing with a family - going to museums, crafts, and baking,” she added.

If there are siblings already in the house, she would be fine with that.

“I like caring for people a lot,” said Jennifer.

“What I’m looking for in a family is adventurous, caring, fun Mom or Dad. It don’t really matter,” she said “So, I’m basically looking for a family that would do fun, adventurous, active stuff with me,” said Jennifer.
