Kameron can be a quiet kid, but the fifth grader – currently in foster care in Michigan – is really looking forward to being part of a family.
“I want to be the only child. I want them to take me camping. I'd like them to sign me up to play baseball,” he said. “If I got to learn do anything, I'd be a baseball player.”
“He desires to have at least a mom but would do well with a mom or a dad or both. He also would like to have siblings,” said one of the people who knows him best.
“I like to watch TV, Transformers. I like the way they transform into vehicles,” Kameron said.
The 12-year-old is really into superheroes.
“Captain America's my favorite superhero. I like everything about Captain America. He's really strong,” said Kameron.
He also enjoys going outside.
“I like to ride my scooter. I like school. My favorite thing to do at school is to play outside. I'd love to visit Hawaii. I like the beaches. I like racing go-carts,” he explained.
His worker said they’re hoping to find a family for Kameron who will be patient with him.
“Kameron can be very quiet and shy. So, it is very difficult sometimes for him to open up and to get to know others and people to also get to know him. So, that's why we're going to need a family that is willing to be patient and understand that it's going to take time and not happen overnight,” she said.
“He would do best in a home that he's the youngest child or the only child in the home. Kameron enjoys doing lots of games -- such as old school board games. That really brings out his personality and gets him talking,” the worker explained.
“He also loves animals and would love to be able to have pets someday. My hope is that he can find a family that he feels comfortable and fits into,” she added.
Kameron has been waiting to be adopted since September of 2018.
