Governor Gretchen Whitmer will sign an executive directive aimed at protecting state employees in Ferndale on Monday.
Whitmer says it will strengthen protection against discrimination for all state workers.
She will be signing the directive at the nonprofit Affirmations, which serves the LGBTQ community. She will be joined by other elected officials and the Affirmations board of directors.
