Crews battled a large fire Sunday morning at the Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, according to the resort's official Facebook page.
The fire occurred at the Main Lodge hotel.
A statement posted to the resort's website said 12 people were injured.
“Our primary concern right now is for those impacted by the fire, and for their health and wellbeing,” said Mike Chumbler, president/general manager of Boyne Highlands Resort, in a statement. “We’re extremely grateful to the fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies who are managing the situation.”
Boyne Highlands' slopes are closed for the day. The resort will remain closed until further notice.
