LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Mary Hulliberger, a teacher at Walled Lake Northern High School in Walled Lake is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In her nomination video,Anne Buller says, "She genuinely cares about her students and their lives and she's always available to comfort and guide anyone in need."
Mary commented, "Each day we work together to create something beautiful and magical and they put themselves out there and it's just joyful."
Mary was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
