The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Mario Dinicola, a teacher at New School High, is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. His nominator says not only is he a math teacher and an amazing one, he subs as a P.E. teacher when he is absent and he does yoga with the kids. He teaches the kids coding, he's the montor of our robotics team, that's why he is this week's excellence in education award winner.
Mario was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and his class will receive a $500 grant!
