The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Richard Vanacker, a teacher at William Davidson Elementary & Middle School, is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. His nominator says, Mr. Vanacker hidden super power is he's ability to see his children, his students as unique individuals, the hidden potential and even their hidden fears. That's why he is this week's excellence in education award winner.
