Natalie Donovan from the Maplewood School joins us as this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education Award winner.
Amy Schmidt sent in a video and stated "she went and bought groceries for the student and the family and that is just amazing, she's amazing."
Natalie stated "Like my friend said, if a kids hungry how do you expect them to learn, they're not going to focus on anything at school and so my first priority is to figure out all my little puzzles when they walk through my classroom door and find out what they need!"
Natalie receives a $1500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her class in the Maplewood Schools receives a $500 grant.
