President Donald Trump will return to Michigan on Saturday night, a state that helped propel him to the White House in November 2016.
Trump is speaking at the Total Sports Complex in Washington Township. That's in Macomb County, where Trump won 54 percent of the vote to Hillary Clinton's 42 percent.
He won Michigan with 47.3 percent of the vote compared to Clinton's 47 percent, winning by 10,704 votes. Macomb County's favorable vote for Trump helped him win Michigan.
The speech comes on the same night as the White House Correspondent's Dinner, the second straight year Trump has skipped the event with the White House Press Corps.
Doors open for the event at 4 p.m. and Trump is expected to begin speaking around 7 p.m. Fans had already lined up for the event around 10 a.m. Saturday, and protestors are expected to arrive in the afternoon.
WXYZ plans to live stream the event on the website and on Facebook.
