Did a tenth grade teacher go too far to break up a fight at a Detroit Public School?
The mother of a 15-year-old student says yes, and she wants action.
The confrontation was caught on video inside Cody Medicine and Community Health Academy.
The incident occurred on Sept. 18. Daischon Bynum says her 15-year-old daughter and another student were arguing when her daughter was allegedly assaulted by the teacher.
Bynum has since pulled her daughter out of the school. The teacher involved in the incident said he was unable to provide comment, and to talk to school administration.
Detroit Public Schools has not yet responded to calls.
