A Detroit man and woman were sentenced in the distribution of fentanyl-laced heroin that resulted in the death of a 36-year-old Westland man.

Alxleotold Gordon, 46, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for selling the heroin in 2017, and Lori Ann Pangborn was sentenced to approximately 9 years for supplying it.

According to court records, the victim was supplied heroin by Pangborn while he was in a recovery house attempting to overcome his heroin addiction.

Gordon, who has previously had felony drug convictions, pleaded guilty to the following:

  • Distribution of a Controlled Substance Resulting in Death
  • Possession of Controlled Substances With the Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Firearms by a Previously Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Firearms in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime

"This conviction and sentence is particularly important given Mr. Gordon's numerous previous felony convictions for narcotics distribution offenses," said U.S. Attorney Matthew Schneider.
