The Detroit Lions are getting some help on the defensive line, and have traded a fifth-round pick to the New York Giants in exchange for DT Damon Harrison.

Harrison, 29, has spent the past three seasons with the Giants and the four seasons before that with the New York Jets.

The 6-foot-3, 341-pound DL has 31 tackles this season and four tackles for loss. Last year, he had 67 tackles, 51 solo tackles and seven tackles for loss in all 16 games. He also added on 1.5 sacks.

According to Chris Burke of The Athletic Detroit, the team traded an extra fifth-rounder they received last year for Laken Tomlinson to get Harrison.

The Lions have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, coming in at No. 30 giving up an average of 139.3 yards per game.
