A mother was arrested in Independence Township after she was found overdosed in her vehicle with her 3-year-old daughter.
Oakland County Sheriff's Deputies and the Independence Fire Department responded to the 2500 block of Mann Road after it was reported that a 29-year-old woman was inside of a silver Dodge Charger and unresponsive.
When authorities arrived, they found the woman exhibiting shallow breathing and was unconscious, that's when a deputy administered a dose of Narcan.
Police say the woman overdosed on heroin.
The woman was transported to McLaren-Oakland Hospital and the child was turned over to the grandmother. Child Protective Services were notified of the incident.
