Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is expected to announce a stay-at-home order during an 11 a.m. press conference Monday, sources tell FOX 47 News.

According to sources, the order will have various exceptions, including grocery and pharmacies.

Michigan will join several other states who have already put in place stay-at-home orders, including Ohio, which announced one on Sunday.

In Ohio's order, people are still able to go out and buy household consumer products, groceries and food, supplies for work at home, auto supplies and more.

According to the Dayton Daily News , people can still go outside for walks, hikes, runs, biking, and parks will be open, but playgrounds will be closed.

Emergency medical services, obtaining medical supplies and medication or visiting a health care professional for people or pets in the household.

People will also be able to care for friends, family members or pets in another household, as give rides to people, including attending weddings and funerals.
