The University of Michigan is offering $1,200 refunds on university housing contracts for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Students were directed to leave campus during the COVID- outbreak.
The refund is being offered to those who have already moved out of university housing or those who are able to move out no later than March 25. It applies to all undergraduate and graduate students who are able to vacate their university residence hall or university apartment by March 25.
Those eligible for the refund will get it in their student account.
All students who have already officially left campus will automatically receive the $1,200 refund.
Students staying on campus will be provided with appropriate living arrangements following social distancing recommendations, the university said.
Boxed-meal service will continue from Michigan Dining.
