(WSYM) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced an extension of the border closure between the United States and Canada for non-essential travel.
The closure which would have expired on Jan. 21 has been extended another 30 days until February 21, 2021.
"We'll continue to do whatever is necessary to keep Canadians safe," Trudeau wrote in a Twitter post.
Update on the Canada-US border: We’ve extended the current border measures by another 30 days. Non-essential travel between our two countries remains restricted until at least February 21st. We’ll continue to do whatever is necessary to keep Canadians safe.
