State of Michigan reports 4,180 COVID-19 cases and 66 deaths

(WXYZ) — The State of Michigan on Friday reported 4,180 daily confirmed cases and 66 deaths.

That brings the total confirmed cases to 454,956 and the total number of deaths to 11,274.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director Robert Gordon also announced Friday that indoor dining will remain closed, but other businesses can reopen in the state.

Those businesses include movie theaters, bowling alleys, casinos, and in-person classes at high schools resuming on Jan. 4 after the holiday break. They will not be able to serve concessions, according to the state.
