LANSING, Mich. — There are now 5,060 deaths from coronavirus in Michigan and 53,009 cases, according to the latest numbers released by the State of Michigan on Wednesday.
That's up 659 cases and 43 deaths from Tuesday.
Overall, 28,234 people have recovered from the virus. Those numbers are updated every Saturday and include people who are 30 days out from the onset of symptoms of COVID-19.
According to the state, the overall fatality rate is 10%.
