LANSING, Mich. — Michigan saw an increase of 221 cases of coronavirus and 11 deaths, according to the latest numbers released by the state on Tuesday.
There are now 61,630 cases and 5,864 deaths in Michigan, but the number of new cases has remained below 300 every day for the past three weeks.
The number of active cases in Michigan continues to drop, and there are just 6,300 active cases in Michigan. The peak number of active cases was 30,300 on April 24, two months ago.
Nearly 50,000 people have recovered from the virus, according to the state. Those numbers are updated every Saturday.
While other states see massive spikes in the virus, Michigan's growth has continued to slowly decline.
