(WSYM) — There have been 577,203 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan, the state reported Wednesday.
Additionally, there have been 15,188 total deaths in the state.
That's an increase of 939 cases and 11 deaths from the day before.
State health officials say Michigan is trending down in the number of cases reported on a daily basis after a surge in the fall.
According to the MDHHS, the state's daily new case count has dropped 72%, and the positive test rate decreased about 5% from mid-November to Feb. 1.1
