There is a total of 109,519 cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and 6,569 deaths, the state reported Thursday.
That's up 924 cases and 17 deaths from the day before.
The state says the deaths announced Thursday includes 9 deaths identified during a Vital Records review.
In a press conference Wednesday, Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun said the percentage of positive tests went up slightly to 3.2 percent.
The Detroit, Saginaw and Upper Peninsula cases high, she said, but trends for case rates and test positivity are declining.
Last Friday, the state identified 61 new outbreaks, 32 fewer than the previous week. Additionally, there are 157 ongoing outbreaks, 65 fewer than the previous week.
