LANSING, Mich. — Michigan has 366,242 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9,324 total deaths, the state reported Tuesday.

That's up 5,793 cases and 190 deaths. Thirty of the deaths were reported via a vital records review.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said the state expects to see an increase in COVID-19 cases in the coming weeks due to people traveling for the holidays.

MDHHS Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun said that any increases in cases due to gatherings on Thanksgiving will not show up in the state data for two to three weeks.
