LANSING, Mich. — Michigan reported 262 new cases of coronavirus and four new deaths from COVID-19, according to the latest numbers on the state's website.
It's the ninth straight day that the increase in cases has been above 200. On Tuesday, 373 new cases were reported, the 2nd-highest in June.
Cases continue to be higher than they were through the early and mid-parts of June as more businesses have opened up.
The total number of cases sits at 64,132 with 5,951 deaths. That doesn't include another 6,957 probable cases and 247 probable deaths.
More than 51,000 people have recovered from the virus, according to the state. Those numbers are updated every Saturday and include people who are still living 30 days after the onset of their symptoms.
The number of active cases has also climbed to 7,100, up from 6,000 just four days ago.
