Livingston County is warning residents about a COVID-19 outbreak that has been traced to the Brighton Assembly of God church.

Officials say 14 unrelated people have tested positive for the virus. They reported attending services on October 4, October 7, and October 11. The people who tested positive live in multiple counties, including Livingston, Washtenaw, and Oakland.

The warning covers those who attended church services on those three dates, as well as those participating in church-related events or social activities.

The Livingston County Health Department is urging all attendees of the church to get tested for COVID-19, whether they have symptoms or not. In addition to getting tested, the health department recommends that individuals who develop symptoms immediately isolate and contact their primary care physician for guidance.
