LANSING, Mich. — Like the rest of the world, FOX 47 has adjusted the way we operate in order to continue bringing you the news throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Most of our staff is now working remotely. While you will see our anchor on set, you will notice that our weathercasters are either reporting remotely ornot sitting at the same desk.

Our reporters are working from the field or home exclusively. The usually bustling newsroom is now almost empty. Just a few key staff members remain, all working in separate areas.

You will see many of our reporters broadcasting live from their homes using Zoom, Facetime or Skype. Most of the interviews we are conducting are now done through the same services.

But it's not just our on-air staff working outside the building, much of the behind-the-scenes staff that keep our broadcasts on-the-air are working remotely as well.

"It is a different world, but we are adapting as so many others are. It is so new for all of is as this is so unheard of in the industry” stated Christopher Lewis, Director of Digital at FOX 47.

Like everyone else, we continue to adapt the way we work as the situation around COVID-19 changes.
