LANSING, Mich. — The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Michigan is now at 4,714 and the number of cases is at 48,391, according to the latest numbers released by the State of Michigan on Wednesday.

That's up 40 deaths and 370 cases from Thursday when there were 4,674 deaths and 48,021 cases.

This is the sixth straight day there have been less than 500 new cases in the state.

Overall, 22,686 have recovered from the virus, according to the state. That number will be updated Saturday. Recovery includes confirmed COVID-19 cases who are 30 days out from their onset, but the pool will expand as the pandemic continues.
