2,093 deaths, 29,263 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan

LANSING, Mich. — There are now 2,093 deaths and 29,263 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Michigan, according to new numbers released by the state on Thursday.

The number of deaths increased by 172, while the number of cases increased by 1,204.

The most cases and deaths are centered in Wayne County, according to the state's numbers.

433 people have recovered from the virus, according to the state. They'll update recovery numbers every Saturday. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
