LANSING, Mich. — There are now 1,921 deaths and 28,059 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Michigan, according to new numbers released by the state on Wednesday.
The number of deaths increased by 153 from Tuesday, while the number of cases increased by 1,058.
The average age of those deceased is 73.5 years old, with the median age of 75 years old. The age range is 20-107 years old.

Michigan ranks fourth in the number of cases, behind New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, but third in deaths behind New York and New Jersey.
433 people have recovered from the virus, according to the state. They'll update recovery numbers every Saturday. Recovered is defined as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
