The new Chevy Bolt EV has been named the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year.
It's the all-electric compact car that will go on sale by the end of the year, and it earned the award just ahead of the Los Angeles auto show.
The Bolt has an estimated driving range of 282 miles on a full charge.
Prices start at $37,500 -- or $30,000 after federal tax incentives
