(WXYZ) — Cedar Point has announced they will be opening for the 2021 season on May 14th.
The amusement park says this season will continue the celebration of their 150th anniversary, which was cut short last year by the COVID-19 pandemic. The park opening was delayed until July due to Ohio's COVID-19 restrictions.
Cedar Point says they will have several operational changes in effect when the park does open to keep guest and their family safe. Those measures will be announced on their website at a later date.
Cedar Point unveiled Gold Passes as part of their 150th anniversary celebration, which was announced in 2019. While those passes were originally for the 2020 season, last year the park announced they would remain valid in 2021 because of the pandemic.
