CARP LAKE, Mich. (AP) — A Lake Michigan state park near the tip of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula is making campsites available after a project was put on hold for 2020.

Reservations can be made onlinestarting Wednesday for the East Lakeshore Campground at Wilderness State Park. You can pitch your tent or set up a camper at 75 sites, starting Monday, the Department of Natural Resources said.

It will “look the same as it has in the past with some minor upgrades to make the campground functional,” the DNR said.

Wilderness State Park has more than 10,000 acres and includes 26 miles of Lake Michigan shore and a dog beach.

The park is less than 30 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge.
