Update: One dead after single car wreck; Three others taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries

LANSING, MI — A single-car crash left one person dead early Monday morning in Lansing.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:24 a.m. on West Miller Rd. in Lansing near Pleasant Grove. Police say the car left the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled onto its side. Preliminary information suggests speed and alcohol were a factor, according to Lansing Police.

The driver, a 44-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other passengers, a 47-year-old female, a 29-year-old female, and another 44-year-old man, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Lansing Police. The identities of the victims have not yet been released, as police attempt to notify family members.

The Lansing Fire Department extracted the three victims, who were pinned in (the driver, front passenger, and rear driver's side passenger).
