Willard Walker: A champion for African American opportunities

Willard Walker is a champion for advancing opportunities for African Americans. He dedicates his life to creating solutions to issues injustice.

Willard saw his activism grow at WKW Consulting Group, while collaborating with Flint agencies to develop and implement a community-wide anti-racism strategy.

A former math teacher of Chicago Public Schools, Mr. Walker gave his consulting expertise in the recruitment and retention of African American teachers in urban districts in Michigan, as well as aiding district's curriculum development.

He also founded and led the mayor's initiative on race and diversity, a program that brings together agencies and individuals to work to address race and ethnicity concerns in the Lansing area.

For his unrelenting efforts and bringing forth equality, Willard Walker will always be a Black History Maker.
