Bringing new school supplies to children in the Lansing area was also on the minds of employees of Delta Dental in Okemos.
They prepared nearly 1,500 backpacks that contained brand new supplies.
Half of those backpacks will go to the Volunteers of America organization, while the other half is going to school kids in the Kalamazoo area.
Each backpack included various supplies including pencils, highlighters, and of course toothbrushes.
Delta Dental says it's committed to improving children's oral health, as well as their school success.
