It's important for kids to get a healthy start on the new school year and the Ingham County Health Department can help.
The 8th annual Back to School Health Fair is kicking off Monday morning.
Community organizations and businesses are coming together to provide health screening giveaways and other resources for local children, something health experts say is important to do before school starts.
The event is free for children of all ages. The event starts at 9 a.m. this morning at the Ingham County Health Department on Cedar Street and goes until 4 p.m. this afternoon.
The event will run all week with the same schedule, except on Wednesday it will go until 6 p.m.
