A press conference will be held Monday morning detailing the future of the Michigan Central Station train depot.
The announcement is scheduled for 9 a.m.
Crain's Detroit Businessreported in March that Ford was in talks to purchase the dilapidated train station from the Moroun family.
While Crain's says the exact status of negotiations is unknown, the magazine said that sources told them a deal could come as soon as April.
The Michigan Central Depot has been largely abandoned since the 1980s. However, the Moroun family has recently been rehabbing parts of the facility and it was used as the centerpiece of the Detroit Homecoming event in September 2017.
